Singing & Hymn Sings

As a church family, we love to blend our voices in song and worship to God.

We believe music is a gift from God and a wonderful opportunity to praise and magnify his name. Singing is an integral part of our worship services, weddings, baptisms, Sunday School, and other church events. In church, we sing "acapella" (without instruments) in four-part harmony (soprano, alto, tenor, & bass). Click below for a sample of our music:

Boundless Mercy, #220 in the Zion's Harp // Zion's Harp Recording, Volume 14

Our hymn books include:

  • The Zion's Harp - a collection of 256 hymns specific to our church heritage, originally translated from German (including the sample above from Boundless Mercy).
  • The Hymns of Zion & Tabernacle Hymns (Combined Hymnal) - a collection of hymns with more familiar titles (Amazing Grace, It is Well, Rock of Ages, etc.)

In addition to our Sunday & Wednesday hymn worship, we often gather for "hymn sings" (45-60 minutes of song worship). Many are hosted at church, but families or individuals may host in their home as well.

Our "All-church" and community hymn sings are not on a consistent schedule. They typically take place at our Silverton Fellowship Center.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Psalm 100:1-2
